BNSSG is proud to be a learning organisation, and you will have a proven track record of excellence in attention to detail and demonstrate this in the development of policies and procedures, performance reports, audits and investigations with identification of learning and development needs that will feed into future service provision. You will have positive relationships with staff and support the clinical leads to develop and maintain a culture of shared responsibility and delivery of clinically effective and sustainable care. You will be able to demonstrate managerial experience, be able to work autonomously and have transferable skills applied to effective decision making, balancing the need for an individual personalised care approach whilst demonstrating clinical and financial accountability within service provision. You will display a strong awareness of accountability and responsibility in role, taking operational lead of the ICB services with confidence and be able to make evidence-based decisions underpinned by a strong rationale that can be clearly communicated across the wider system. You are required to be a driver with access to a transport to work across the BNSSG area and beyond on occasions. The Funded Care Team within the Chief Nursing Office supports the delivery of NHS funded care across BNSSG.As Lead for CHC Operations, and a member of the leadership team within the wider Funded Care Team, you will be responsible for operational delivery of Continuing Healthcare, and assist with the management and delivery of additional Funded Care services within BNSSG. Flexibility to adapt to new ways of working, and lead through change as a role model and representative of the ICB is essential due to the current pace of service development. In addition, experience in coaching and change management would be advantageous, but not mandatory. What is essential is that you will display heightened skills in verbal and written communication, be a strong decision maker showing sensitivity to patients and staff and display a team approach to their role within the service. About us As Lead for CHC Operations in BNSSG ICB you will be responsible for: day-to-day operational performance of the service. leading services to drive transformational change towards excellence, providing reports and audits to give system assurance of quality and governance in service delivery.. supporting the current clinical leadership team in effective recruitment, then training and developing of staff knowledge, skills and experience within the service to achieve low attrition rates and ensure staff feel valued and able to excel. leading on development work and projects across the Funded Care Services within the ICB, and participating in similar across the health and social care network, forging joint working and a collaborative approach, with the patient central to all decision-making. representing the BNSSG ICB Funded Care Team in local, regional and national platforms, such as communities of practice and NHS England forums. developing your own knowledge and skills to the point of being a subject expert in matters pertaining to Funded Care service delivery. These include, but are not restricted to: the National Framework for Continuing Healthcare, the Mental Capacity Act, NHS England and BNSSH ICB Policies, Personal Health Budgets, Safeguarding, Inclusivity and Person Centred Care, Quality Standards and IT innovation in healthcare.
