The post holder will be predominantly ward based and gain a wide range of experience and undertake on call. The role will be required to work with other grades of staff, and help out with ward rounds, admitting patients and clinics. Clerk and post take administration; writing in patients notes. Undertake patient reviews. Patient assessment, Drug prescription, Discharge administration. Promptly update patient systems. Attend clinics. Attend Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) meetings. Triage to medical teams/acute physicians as appropriate. Trouble shoot patients on the ward. Participate in ward rounds Take part in the Haematology on-call shift system. About us The Haematology department at UHD is staffed with 16 Haematology Consultants. As well as other Junior colleagues, the post will be supported by Junior clinical fellows and Physicians Associates. "}
