Lead the maternal medicine service in collaboration with relevant members of the wider MDT Contribute to the prenatal counselling clinics as required in collaboration with medical and obstetric colleagues. To take the lead in collaborative efforts for the maternal medicine service at ENHT and offer support while delivering clinical excellence to ensure the efficient management of service users with complex needs. Undertake the full role of the midwife including advanced decision-making, using evidence-based practice. Work collaboratively within the MDT to provide high-level, holistic midwifery care that impacts positively upon the woman's maternity journey. Support both women and staff throughout the maternity journey to ensure that the mother and baby receive high quality safe care relevant to their individual needs and that any birth/postnatal plans are followed up, including contraception provision. Ensure that personalised care plans are instigated in partnership with the woman, evaluated, and amended appropriately throughout the antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal periods.
