The successful candidate will be supported by a named educational supervisor. At the ST3-5 level the post-holder will be expected to have completed competences in line with RCOG recommended competences for ST1&2 and to have completed MRCOG Part 1. AT ST6-7 level the post-holder will be expected to have completed competences in line with the RCOG recommended competes to complete ST1-5 and MRCOG Part 3. The successful candidate will take part in an emergency on-call rota and routine elective work in both Obstetrics and Gynaecology. This will include Caesarean Section lists, Gynaecology theatre lists, administrative tasks and general and specialist outpatient clinics. *Work with a named consultant, who will act as a mentor and will be available to perform appraisals, provide support and advice. *Attend weekly meeting to discuss CTG's and interesting cases for learning. *Attend monthly audit meetings and trainees are encouraged to undertake audit projects. *Attend the monthly mortality, morbidity, audit and governance meetings. *Attend Postgraduate Education meetings. *Be actively involved on quality improvement, research and teaching projects to enhance surgical portfolio. *Be able to liaise with Consultant, other junior doctors, Nurses, Midwives, patient, relatives, administrative staff and other senior medical staff *Be able to eventually supervise/ support more junior members of the team.
