The role is within the Health and Safety Team, working within the Integrated Governance Unit, with the Head of Risk and Compliance. The post holder is responsible for coordinating and delivering training with a focus on moving and handling facilitator courses for staff employed by Pennine Care NHS Foundation trust. They will provide information, training and instruction to staff that carry out moving and handling risk assessments as the need arises. The responsible post holder will also maintain the moving and handling qualification of a group of central moving and handling instructors who will act as a primary training resource for the Trust. Working with the team the person will provide best practice advice to managers across the trust footprint. The role encompasses 6 main areas of responsibility:Training, Advice and Guidance to services, Resource and information management, Policy development, Clinical audit and research, as well as professional development and effort relating to the management of the environment and reporting.
