The Moving and Handling Coordinator at Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust in Ashton Under Lyne is a dynamic role within the Health and Safety Team, aimed at ensuring a safe environment for patients and staff during care provision. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and delivering training, particularly in moving and handling facilitator courses, and will offer guidance for staff conducting moving and handling risk assessments. This position includes maintaining the qualifications of central moving and handling instructors and providing best practice advice to managers across the Trust.

Key responsibilities encompass designing and delivering nationally accredited training programs, ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation, conducting regular monitoring and evaluation of training practices, and collaborating with both internal and external partners on relevant projects. The coordinator will also develop and implement Trust policies, manage moving and handling training needs, and contribute to the overall professional development within the Health and Safety framework.
