The key objective of this role is to provide operational support to the data protection officer support service manager, ensuring the continued implementation, assurance and development of the Data Protection Officer support service by providing an exceptional service to our subscribed practices. The role will require significant knowledge of Information Governance, Data Protection and Confidentiality. You will be required to hold a relevant master's degree or have significant experience in an Information Governance role with experience in complex information governance work programs. Ideally holding a recognised qualification in Data Protection. This role can be based at any of our DHCW Offices. The ideal candidates must have a flexible approach to working, along with excellent communication and organisational skills, in order to support the development of a robust information governance framework and provide ongoing support, advice and guidance to the program in all matters of data protection and information governance. They will be responsible and accountable on a data to day basis for information governance work for DPO service work programs, providing Information governance expertise, identifying best practice and making recommendations to service subscribers. The postholder must have robust information governance skills and knowledge. Experience of working in health and/or social care is desirable but not essential for this role. Due to geography and spread of the service you will be required to have a flexible approach to work and be able to travel on occasion to various sites across Wales as required; this may require overnight stays.
