The Sussex ICB Medicines Optimisation Team (MOT) promotes high quality, safe and cost-effective prescribing. We are ambitious, forward thinking and strive to ensure that the patient is always at the heart of everything we do. We adopt a flexible approach to working patterns, offering a mix of practice-based, remote and office working to empower team members to optimise their performance and deliver. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our MOT. The roles are based within the East and West Sussex area, please indicate in the application your preferred area to work which will be taken into consideration. Applicants must have an NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent Pharmacy Technician qualification and be Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacy Technician. Main duties of the job Supporting the Medicines Optimisation team to address health inequalities that exist across our population to achieve greater outcomes and reduce variation. Utilise data analysis and project support to guide prioritisation of the medicines optimisation strategy and promote clinical and cost- effective prescribing. The successful applicants will provide remote and practical hands-on support, building professional, trusted relationships with practice and PCN teams to ensure effective communication on issues relating to prescribing and population health needs.
