You will have the opportunity to work with colleagues committed to providing care for women, their partners, and their infants to enable them to live their best life. To work as an autonomous, independent practitioner responsible for own work and intervention and for the interpretation of agreed guidelines and policies in providing a highly specialist Applied or Clinical Psychology service. You will have access to training and regular supervision to enable you to achieve your full potential as a specialist clinician. We are an enthusiastic, committed and developing psychological team within the Perinatal service. We have developed good supervision structures to ensure best practices with access to peer supervision, and access to supervision . We are an enthusiastic team of psychologist with a drive to ensure that psychological approaches are at the heart of the service through formulation, joint working, individual and group interventions in addition through delivering supervision and consultation to perinatal practitioners. To formulate and implement plans for the formal psychological treatment and/or management of a client's mental health problems, based upon an appropriate conceptual framework of the client's problems, and employing methods based upon evidence of efficacy, across the full range of care settings. To provide psychological assessments of clients based upon the appropriate use, interpretation and integration of data from a variety of sources including psychological, self-report measures, rating scales, direct and indirect structured observations and semi-structured interviews with clients, family members and others involved in the client's care. To evaluate and make decisions about treatment options taking into account both theoretical and therapeutic models and factors concerning historical and developmental processes that have shaped the individual, family or group. To support risk assessment and risk management for individual clients and to provide advice to other professions on psychological aspects of risk assessment and risk management To plan and prioritise their own patient workload, which will include taking full responsibility for organising referrals, managing their own waiting list, undertaking patients consultations, attending MDT reviews for those on their case load and other meetings as appropriate About us For the main duties and responsibilities for this role please read the attached job description and person specification.
