The role of "Specialist Mental Health Practitioner or Psychological Therapist" at Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust in Bournemouth involves working as an autonomous practitioner within a nationally accredited multi-disciplinary team focused on providing psychological support to women, their partners, and infants in line with the Perinatal Long Term Plan. The position requires expertise in formulating and implementing individualized psychological treatment plans, conducting comprehensive psychological assessments, and collaborating with other professionals to ensure the best care for clients.

Candidates will have access to training, regular supervision, and a supportive environment fostering best practices. Key responsibilities also include risk assessment and management, planning and prioritizing patient workloads, and participating in multidisciplinary team reviews. This fixed-term position is aimed at candidates with current NHS service who can apply on a secondment basis and does not accept those requiring current Skilled worker sponsorship to work in the UK.
