This is a great opportunity for student optometrists to gain experience of working in a hospital eye service, and solidify your knowledge of ocular pathology. ***Preference will be given to internal Trust staff, as well as 'Priority' and 'At Risk' status including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon who are able to display recent relevant experience as dictated by the Person Specification.*** The post-holder will be an Ophthalmic Imaging Technician with relevant experience. The post-holder will have knowledge of a range of ophthalmic conditions and will facilitate the assessment of patients. The role involves performing vision assessments, visual fields, disc and macula OCT, and fundus photography on patients referred to the eye unit for new eye pathologies and monitoring existing eye disease. About us Primary Duties & Areas of Responsibility Undertake Ocular Coherence Tomography imaging of patients. Undertake Visual Fields Testing. Undertake fundus photography (retina) of patients. Undertake general clinical photography of patients. Undertake specular microscopy of patients. Undertake corneal topography of patients. Undertake auto-refraction of patients.
