This role is part of an ongoing pilot project, providing a counselling offer to children and young people who access our Healthy Minds Lincolnshire service. This project is an opportunity to make a real difference in outcomes for children, young people and their families by offering early support in the form of counselling intervention. The Healthy Minds Lincolnshire service supports children and young people aged 0-19 who are presenting with emotional wellbeing or mental health problems, which are of a low level of complexity and/or intensity, by offering a variety of evidence based interventions. We are really excited to continue to pilot this additional intervention offer in the form of counselling. This is advertised as full-time post operating Monday to Friday 9am-5pm, however other working patterns can be considered. The post holder will provide assessments and counselling for children & young people who suffer a range of emotional wellbeing and common mental health problems, and monitor the effectiveness of the intervention. You will be a key link person for Education Settings within your area. You will provide guidance and liaison to education providers and support in embedding the whole school approach. You will provide emotional wellbeing support to children and young people including their parents/carers and wider support network. Support will be provided by the Counsellor in groups, workshops and on a one-to-one basis. You will also provide management and clinical supervision to the B4 Practitioners within the team.
