By evaluating and optimising biologic prescribing and usage, the team will ensure that value for money is achieved across the healthcare system, while maintaining clinical effectiveness and safety. As a member of this dynamic team, you will work collaboratively with clinical and financial stakeholders, including prescribers, pharmacists, commissioners, and procurement teams, to identify areas where cost efficiencies can be made, particularly in the use of biosimilars and other biologic therapies. The post holder will be supporting clinical teams in all aspects relating to the mobilising of identified cost saving opportunities. The successful candidate will provide Senior Pharmacy Technician support to all homecare services, with a special interest in areas relating to the Best Value Medicines and Biologics Group. Main duties to include: To support and assist the Pharmacy Homecare Service Manager andBest Value Medicines and Biologics Groupin cost effective procurement and delivery of Homecare medicines and services for the OUH NHS Foundation Trust (OUH). Co-ordinate and communicate with clinical pharmacists and homecare providers to implement cost saving initiatives. To promote the economic use of medicines whilst actively contributing to the activities of the pharmacy department to ensure high standards quality of pharmaceutical care for patients.
