The post holder will work on their own initiative, undertaking delegated tasks with appropriate supervision in place from a registered practitioner/assistantpractitioner. The post holder will be a member of the Childrens Community Nursing Team carrying out all duties as appropriate to banding, knowledge, skill and competency. These duties will include the delivery of health care in the home to children/young people with ongoing complex health needs following training and support of a clinical educator and registered nurse. The post is line managed by the Children's Community Team Manager and clinical work is delegated by the relevant qualified nurse team leaders within the service. Guided by policies & procedures, established precedents and detailed care plans, the post holder is required to work unsupervised, undertaking independent interventions and decision making within agreed protocols in community settings, although supervision and support is readily available from team leaders.
