Band 3: £24,433 to £26,060 a year Per annum (pro rata if part-time)  PERMANENT  GOOD SALARY 

The post holder will be a member of the Childrens Community Nursing Team carrying out all duties as appropriate to banding, knowledge, skill and competency.

The Senior Healthcare Assistant (Level 3) has a greater degree of autonomy than the Healthcare Assistant and undertakes a broader range of health and care in accordance with policy and procedures. The post holder will work on their own initiative, undertaking delegated tasks with appropriate supervision in place from a registered practitioner/assistantpractitioner.

The post holder contributes to assessment and assists in the development, implementation and evaluation of individualised care plans. They will supervise other staff and promote the delivery of high quality care.

Various hours available - full time and part time

AN EXCITING OPPORTUNITY TO BECOME A VALUED MEMBER OF THE CHILDREN'S COMMUNITY NURSING SERVICE IN SWANSEA BAY UHB.

The post holder will be a member of the Childrens Community Nursing Team carrying out all duties as appropriate to banding, knowledge, skill and competency. These duties will include the delivery of health care in the home to children/young people with ongoing complex health needs following training and support of a clinical educator and registered nurse.

The post is line managed by the Children's Community Team Manager and clinical work is delegated by the relevant qualified nurse team leaders within the service. Guided by policies & procedures, established precedents and detailed care plans, the post holder is required to work unsupervised, undertaking independent interventions and decision making within agreed protocols in community settings, although supervision and support is readily available from team leaders.

To assist in the creation of a family centred safe environment for children/young people with differing individual holistic needs in care.

To work effectively as a team member and provide high standards of fundamental care to all children/young people

Will be aware of the complex needs of the child and family, carrying out care as directed by the registered nurse, which is patient centred health gain focussed and resource effective.
