Are you passionate and enthusiastic about providing excellent palliative care? St Helena hospice are looking for a Clinical Support Worker to join our In-patient Unit. We are looking for part time 23 hours per week. You will be working as part of a team to provide high standards of specialist palliative care to patients and their relatives. Previous experience in palliative care is not essential. We would like to welcome applications from people who have the desire to provide gold standard palliative care and make a difference to those in their care. This post works on internal rotation which is a mixture of long days and nights (07:30-20:00 ; 19:30-08:00). St Helena may elect to bring forward the closing date for this vacancy in the event we receive the desired volume of applications. You are therefore encouraged you to submit your application early if you wish to express an interest in this opportunity. Please note that this post requires an enhanced DBS check. To assist Registered Nurses, Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists in providing high standards of specialist palliative care to patients and their relatives. Identify and adapt clinical support given under the varying professions guiding principles of care and be able to switch approach as directed. The care will be planned and assessed by the Registered Nurses and Therapists and provided under the direct supervision of the registered nurses or other members of the multidisciplinary team.
