We are looking for an exceptional individual like you who will be able to; foster a positive proactive approach to risk management developing close links with clinical and managerial staff. Act as a self-relating practitioner who horizon scans to ensure the divisional governance activities remain in line with current best practice. Support and develop a culture of informed questioning, challenge, trend analysis triangulation, and assurance to ensure lessons are learned and that action plans are delivered in a way which has a positive effect on patient outcomes and patient experience. Evidence of expertise in using Datix (or equivalent database) is essential and important part of the role to enable the individual to work in the service implementation of PSIRF milestone The post holder will work as a senior support to the Divisional leadership team for Women’s services and deliver key learning work streams linked to the output of the women’s operational clinical governance team. This includes using data from Datix for updating ward and unit safety boards, developing safety newsletters, writing up and presenting patient cases alongside thematically reviewing adverse incidents, trends in risks and the Divisional complaints activity. This role will be a key clinical presence across maternity services, helping to develop and coach local leaders in learning from safety incidents and reducing harm and risk across the division.
