Join our friendly team as a Dietetic Support Worker within the Diabetes & Weight Management team. This role is perfect for individuals who are interested in nutrition, weight management and type 2 diabetes. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to develop skills in supporting individuals with diet and behavior changes. Excellent communication skills and administrative experience are essential. This is a Fife wide service providing a range of Dietetic Care to a Children and Adults in both Community and Acute Hospitals. The Service is currently arranged into clinical teams for; Acute, Diabetes & Weight Management, Mental Health & Learning Disabilities, Nutritional Support, Older People and Infant Nutrition & Paediatrics. There is also specialist Dietitians working in the Health Promotion Food & Health Teams. Fife has a Non Prescribing Ordering Model for Oral Nutritional Supplements; our service also includes non medical prescribing Dietitians. The Dietetic Service takes both undergraduate and graduate Dietetic students for B & C programmes each year; involving staff in the delivery and organisation of the programmes. New graduates to Fife will participate in the rotation programme across the various Teams as part of their continuing development. The Service runs regular Service training sessions and supports staff in their continuing professional development. The Service has good administration support, Information Technology, social media and online resources. We would love to hear from you if you want to find out more about this role. NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
