There will be ample opportunity to undertake research and audit.There is also the opportunity to undertake lower limb trauma surgery.This fellowship is ideal for surgeons wishing to pursue a career in hip and knee reconstructive surgery.The post is predominantly based at St. Albans City Hospital, and less frequently Watford General Hospital. Main duties of the job This fellowship will provide exceptional training in current techniques in primary/revision hip and knee arthroplasty surgery and soft tissues knee surgery. The fellow will be timetabled to have independent supervised operating lists, participate in a weekly MDT and attend Out-Patient clinics. Applicants must have broad general training in orthopaedic surgery and have sufficient clinical and surgical experience to undertake routine hip and knee arthroplasty without direct supervision.
