Job summaryApplications are invited from suitably qualified surgeons who wish to obtain advanced training in Hip and Knee Arthroplasty, including revision surgery and soft tissue knee.
The post is suited to an individual who has completed basic orthopaedic training, passed the FRCS (T&O) or equivalent and is close to or is in receipt of CCT and wishes to gain more experience in arthroplasty prior to taking up a consultant appointment. The post is available from 1st October 2024, for 12-months, within West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. The job is a post CCST positions. There will be ample opportunity to undertake research and audit.There is also the opportunity to undertake lower limb trauma surgery.This fellowship is ideal for surgeons wishing to pursue a career in hip and knee reconstructive surgery.The post is predominantly based at St. Albans City Hospital, and less frequently Watford General Hospital.
Main duties of the jobThis fellowship will provide exceptional training in current techniques in primary/revision hip and knee arthroplasty surgery and soft tissues knee surgery.
