We have a full and part time position available to join our team. This Medical ward is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and you will be expected to participate in a variety of shift patterns. We are a 16 bedded ward specialising in General Medicine and Endocrinology. We are looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic nurses to join our friendly and pro-active nursing team, caring for a variety of acute medical patients. We are a hardworking small department with a strong sense of teamwork and strive to deliver a high standard of care for out patients and families. To participate in the assessing, planning, implementation and evaluation of individualised care for medical patients To recognise changes in patients conditions which require the intervention of others and refer on as appropriate To clearly present the patients point of view to others, including promoting and protecting the interest and dignity of patients Ensure own practice is evidenced based and contribute to the development of nursing practice in own area We employ more than 6,500 staff who deliver compassionate care from our two main hospitals, Calderdale Royal Hospital and Huddersfield Royal Infirmary as well as in community sites, health centres and in patients’ homes. We also are incredibly proud to have almost 150 volunteers here at CHFT. We provide a range of services including urgent and emergency care; medical; surgical; maternity; gynaecology; critical care; children’s and young people’s services; end of life care and outpatient and diagnostic imaging services. We provide community health services, including sexual health services in Calderdale from Calderdale Royal and local health centres. These include Todmorden Health Centre and Broad Street Plaza.
