We are seeking registered nurses to join our team here on ward 6A at CRH.

We have a full and part time position available to join our team.

This Medical ward is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and you will be expected to participate in a variety of shift patterns. We are a 16 bedded ward specialising in General Medicine and Endocrinology.

We are looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic nurses to join our friendly and pro-active nursing team, caring for a variety of acute medical patients. We are a hardworking small department with a strong sense of teamwork and strive to deliver a high standard of care for out patients and families.

  • To participate in the assessing, planning, implementation and evaluation of individualised care for medical patients
  • To recognise changes in patients conditions which require the intervention of others and refer on as appropriate
  • To clearly present the patients point of view to others, including promoting and protecting the interest and dignity of patients
  • Ensure own practice is evidenced based and contribute to the development of nursing practice in own area

We employ more than 6,500 staff who deliver compassionate care from our two main hospitals, Calderdale Royal Hospital and Huddersfield Royal Infirmary as well as in community sites, health centres and in patients’ homes. We also are incredibly proud to have almost 150 volunteers here at CHFT.

We provide a range of services including urgent and emergency care; medical; surgical; maternity; gynaecology; critical care; children’s and young people’s services; end of life care and outpatient and diagnostic imaging services.

We provide community health services, including sexual health services in Calderdale from Calderdale Royal and local health centres. These include Todmorden Health Centre and Broad Street Plaza.

We continue to modernise and invest in our health services to build on our strong reputation. Foundation trusts are public leaders in improving quality in health services. They are part of the NHS – yet decisions about what they do and how they do it are driven by independent boards. Boards listen to their Council of Governors and respond to the needs of their members – patients, staff and the local community.
