The postholder will be the first point of contact for enquires and therefore, will be an effective communication link between senior internal and external stakeholders including regulators, commissioners, Coroners, Police etc. To deal promptly with complex internal and external issues including enquiries and complaints as appropriate, using initiative to both identify the elements of the matter and problem solve, suggesting where appropriate, clearly explained possible solutions. The post holder will work at all times with a high degree of discretion and initiative, respecting confidentiality. It will be important for the post holder to develop and maintain an understanding of key governance issues in order to manage and prioritise workload effectively and make decisions as appropriate. This will provide the timely and professional servicing of meetings producing meeting minutes, agendas and action logs that will provide assurance and withstand external scrutiny by auditors, regulators etc. To provide personal assistance and administrative support including diary management to the Director of Clinical Governance and Senior Leadership Team. Manage schedules, continuously adjusting plans which impact across the area and beyond being mindful of the impact on other areas. Duties include arranging appointments, setting up meetings and maintaining a complex diary, making decisions on whether/when appointments are made based on the issue, the needs of the caller and the workload priorities and commitments of the Director of Clinical Governance and Senior Leadership Team.
