For this position, we have listed the requirements we believe are essential for this role: Knowledge Current good practice in care and the principles of dignity, privacy, independence, choice and fulfilment Safeguarding vulnerable people Health and Safety and legal requirements in a day care setting and a catering kitchen Awareness of needs of older people and/or those with dementia, mental health, disability or learning difficulties and understanding needs (physical, social, cultural and emotional) Experience 2 years' work experience of care and support of older and/or vulnerable people, either in a paid or unpaid capacity Qualifications This role provides regulated activities under the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). Therefore, post holders are required to undertake a regular DBS check to ensure anyone who presents a known risk is prevented from working with vulnerable people Ability to undertake manual handling tasks Benefits The salary for this role is £13.15 per hour.
