Parkfield Medical Centre in Potters Bar, are looking to recruit a nursing associate, to support a specific stream of work at the practice. This role is offered on a part-time basis of 30 hours per week. This role will involve working as part of the multi-disciplinary health care team providing planned care and delivering the highest standards of patient care. Undertake clinical tasks including venepuncture and ECGs. Support individuals and their families and carers when faced with unwelcome news and life-changing diagnoses. Perform and recording clinical observations such as blood pressure, temperature, respirations, and pulse. Discuss and share information with registered nurses on a patients condition, behaviour, activity, and responses. Ensure the privacy, dignity and safety of individuals is always maintained. Recognise issues relating to safeguarding vulnerable children and adults. Recognise and report any situations, behaviours or errors that could result in poor care. Conduct safe administration of injections using subcutaneous and intramuscular routes. Smear tests. Diabetes care. Chronic disease management. End of life/ palliative care support. Undertake clinical medication reviews to proactively manage people with complex polypharmacy. Support the practice in the delivery of full Spirometry services. "}
