An exciting opportunity has arisen to help shape and develop Torbay's Cancer research team. As a site we are now able to offer an exciting range of interventional studies across a diverse range of disease sites and we are looking for a highly driven individual to help ensure this growth continues while maintaining our excellent reputation. The main purpose of the role is to have responsibility for overseeing and co-ordinating the clinical, managerial and educational requirements of a clinical research team. You will be an adaptable worker and familiar with the fields of qualitative and quantitative research and clinical trials. If you have proven skills in a research and/or clinical management role, this could be the post for you. You will be expected to oversee a range of studies across Cancer research with the following objectives: Ensuring that the portfolio is balanced with commercial and non-commercial trials Ensuring that performance targets are met. Working with the wider clinical teams across the organisation, central R&D team, clinical research network staff and commercial partners to identify suitable studies to improve patient care and the health of our local population Facilitating the introduction of new business into our organisation to aid income generation In addition, you will be responsible for line managing and developing a team of research staff, leading by example and empowering staff in their personal and professional development.
