Think again! Here at Wokingham, we have two inpatient wards, caring for adults with a wide variety sub-acute medical and post-surgical conditions. Our patient cohort is referred from both acute hospital and community settings. Without immediate access to acute investigations, we use multiple ‘Point of Care Testing’ systems to support the care of our patients. Our diverse range of staff are skilled in appropriate management of patients supporting them to remain in the community setting, whilst also escalating as appropriate to ensure their safety. BHFT actively encourages the development of our staff, and as a result our team of RNs have the opportunity to follow the career path suitable to them – this can be developing autonomous nursing skills, management skills, or supporting you to be the best Registered Nurse you can be. Unfortunately, we are unable to recruit overseas applicants who require relocation or OSCE for NMC registration thought this post at present. We are looking for nurses that are flexible and can cover shifts over a 24 hour period or may have a preference for night shifts, however, we do not offer a nights only shift pattern. Work closely as part of the Multi Disciplinary Team for the care of patients requiring medical and rehabilitation support, predominantly post an acute hospital stay. Responsible for the assessment of care needs, development and implementation of patient centered care. Promoting independence and safe discharge home.
