As a Cath lab specialist + rotational radiographer at this Nuffield Health site, the opportunities to develop yourself, and the services we provide are abundant. In addition to being highly skilled in Cath lab, you will also be experienced in a cross-sectional modality such as CT and/or MRI. As the flagship hospital for cardiac services, previous cardiac experience in CT and/or MRI is highly desirable as well as experience with Siemens equipment. As a Specialist Cath Lab + Rotational Radiographer, you will: Have a BSC degree in diagnostic radiography (or equivalent), a postgraduate qualification and/or high levels of technical knowledge. Have more than 3 years' experience in a variety of Cath lab procedures. Be experienced in either Cardiac CT or MRI. Have an understanding and empathetic approach to patients and staff alike. Be respectful towards all individuals, including staff, patients and visitors. Have a proactive and forward thinking approach to work. Ensure a service of the highest quality is delivered with sensitivity and compassion Demonstrate excellent communication and team working abilities. Main duties and responsibilities: Deliver a high-quality diagnostic imaging service for a varied caseload within the cardiac cath lab as well as CT or MRI. Be highly proficient in the use of all equipment within scope of practice. Work with leading practitioners and cutting-edge practices, equipment and facilities Take an active part to supervise and develop junior colleagues To work within IRMER and own scope of practice, in accordance with the code of conduct set out by the HCPC. Participate in departmental audits and Quality Assurance programme. Provide support to the Clinical Lead Radiographers. Ensure equipment is safe and fit for purpose and, can report faults in line with Nuffield Health policy. Competency in IV cannulation is essential Provide input to the review, update and implementation of departmental policy and procedural changes. Comply with all Nuffield Health policies and procedures. Ensure all records are maintained in line with statutory and organisational requirements.
