This is a permanent post for 22.5 hours per week. The aim of the programme is to improve: maternal antenatal health; child health and development; and parents economic self-sufficiency, though intensive home visiting and delivery of the FNP preventive home visiting programme to vulnerable young mothers and their parents who are expecting their first baby during pregnancy, usually up until the child’s second birthday; with a caseload of up to 12 vulnerable families. The successful candidate will be a registered nurse, health visitor / midwife or school nurse who has significant experience of working in the community with families in deprived communities. This is a highly demanding and intense specialist role and requires an individual educated to degree level, with high levels of reflective practice and the ability to demonstrate warmth and engage with vulnerable clients. Applicants need to possess excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills and work well, both independently and as part of the team.
