We are a fast paced, 30 bedded ward, taking patients directly from A&E and GP’s. You will also have the opportunity to work within out dedicated ambulatory & assessment area with opportunities to learn additional clinical skills such as venepuncture and cannulation. We are recruiting Band 2 HCSWs to training posts, where on successful completion of in house training you will progress to a Band 3. Existing Band 3’s are also welcome to apply to the post. The post holder will work closely with and be supported by the SCN and Band 6 Charge Nurses and will develop close professional relationships with a wider multidisciplinary team. We are seeking to appoint individuals with the skills to deliver the highest standard of holistic care to our patients and families. As a team, We believe that staff wellbeing and development is paramount in achieving high standards of patient care. A post in Medicine will provide you with opportunity for personal and professional development through peer support, and structured education and training whilst being supported by our Clinical Educator. NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
