The successful candidate would be expected perform preventative maintenance and quality assurance on a wide range of radiotherapy equipment and to liaise with equipment manufacturers to maintain the availability of the treatment units. For this post the successful candidate would have already completed the Varian training courses. The successful candidate will also participate in routine q.a. of the treatment and dosimetry equipment and is encouraged to support clinical dosimery measurements where appropriate. In addition, the post acts as the deputy and primary support to the Radiotherapy QA Manager for Radiotherapy's ISO 9001 accredited quality management system and maintains the Radiotherapy Quality Assurance system management software \"Q-Pulse\". There is approximately a 60:40 split in the above roles with engineering taking precedence. About us The Royal Free Radiotherapy service has 2 Varian Truebeam linear accelerators, a Xstrahl system, a Canon (Toshiba) large bore CT-scanner, access to PET and MRI and currently the Philips Pinnacle treatment planning system ver16.2. along with a wide range of dosimetry and engineering support equipment. Varian's Aria patient management system integrates the service with the accredited quality management system supported on \"Q-Pulse\". Certified manufacturer's training on same treatment equipment from same manufacturer to that in Radiotherapy at RFL.
