Alongside face to face clinical work, the post-holder will be expected to provide consultation/training to a variety of multi-disciplinary teams, and to participate in the development and delivery of group programmes. The successful applicant will be expected to work effectively as an integrated member of the multi-disciplinary team (MDT) and work in close collaboration with Doctors, Specialist Nurses, Allied Health Professionals, Administration Staff and Operational Managers. The post holder will have the opportunity to develop their service evaluation and quality improvement skills as part of their continuing professional development. The successful candidate will be joining the wider group of Clinical Psychologists, who work across a broad spectrum of specialties within the Children and Adolescent service in Gloucestershire. The service has links to the Bath Clinical Psychology Training Programme, and Gloucestershire Health and Care Foundation Trust (GHC) has an active and varied research network. Provide specialist clinical risk assessments (including Self Harm assessments) and risk management planning as part of routine clinical work. This will include leading and actively contributing to multi-disciplinary clinical discussions and formulations. Provide specialist clinical interventions within a paediatric multidisciplinary team where expected roles, responsibilities and activity/performance expectations are outlined within a personal job plan. This job plan will be reviewed on a quarterly basis and may be adjusted to meet team or service led requirements. Provide specialist clinical consultation and advice to professionals working within a range of children’s services within Gloucestershire as required. Undertake clinical leadership and/or other project management tasks as requested to actively contribute to service development and other continuous improvement cycle and ensure CAMHS continues to provide high quality, safe and effective services. Provide highly specialist professional based clinical reasoning, knowledge, skills and competencies regarding a range of CAMHS assessments and therapeutic interventions The “voice” of the child will be central to developing personalised care planning for all children and young people.
