5. The tours include various groups with different interests. How would you tailor your delivery to appeal to children, families, and adult visitors?
6. Exceptional customer service is key to this role. Can you provide an example of how you've dealt with a difficult visitor or customer in the past?
7. How do you ensure your communication is clear and effective, especially when faced with a diverse audience?
8. This position requires you to retain a significant amount of information and present it naturally. How do you go about memorising and recalling facts for your tours?
9. Can you give us an example of a complex topic you successfully simplified for an audience during a previous role or experience?
10. The role requires flexible working hours, including weekends. How do you manage your schedule to accommodate these requirements?
11. Can you describe a situation where your punctuality or reliability was put to the test? How did you handle it?
12. How would you create a welcoming atmosphere for visitors who may be nervous or unfamiliar with the tour experience?
13. How do you assess the needs of your visitors during a tour, and how might you adjust your approach based on those needs?
14. How do you work collaboratively with a team when delivering tours or during events?
15. Have you ever been involved in supporting workshops or events? Can you describe your role and what you learned from that experience?
16. What does the BBC mean to you personally, and how does that influence your desire to work as a Tour Guide?
17. Can you share your thoughts on the importance of storytelling in broadcasting and how it connects to public service?
18. What do you hope our visitors take away from their experience on a BBC Wales tour?
