The post holder will ensure the provision of high-quality comprehensive specialist psychological services to the mental health inpatient wards, with specific contribution to the MDT working of the psychiatric intensive care unit. They will also hold the clinical work of the wards and work with other lead clinicians in different disciplines. They will provide supervision for the existing team. In addition to this post, the team consists of four, band 7 psychologists, assistant and trainee psychologists some of whom work across different services in the community and acute service. Supporting the on-going development of Trauma Informed Approaches through co-production and staff support is a central facet of this role.
