At CPFT our adult inpatient wards operate an exciting, ambitious model of care, known as the 3-3-3 model, focussed on providing the right care at the right time. The three wards work together to provide the best care and support possible; Oak 3 our Acute Assessment Unit, where patients stay up to 3 days, Oak 1, our Treatment ward, where patients stay up to 3 weeks, and Oak 4, our Recovery Unit, where patients stay up to 3 months. We need a charismatic, energetic, enthusiastic health care assistant to support the provision of evidence-based treatment and work with our multi-disciplinary team to support our service users in their recovery. You may be required to undertake and successfully complete the new national Care Certificate within a 12 weeks' timeframe if you meet our criteria. You will receive full training and support and The Care Certificate sets out 15 national care standards that must be achieved by all health and social care staff to demonstrate that they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide safe and excellent quality of care. It is a foundation programme which can provide the first steps to career development within the NHS. The wards bold model requires staff to have a commitment to teamwork, a sense of accountability, and an ability to work well under pressure when required. As a Health Care Assistant, you will interact frequently with carers and families providing support and advice where appropriate. You will be working as an integral part of the multidisciplinary team (MDT) and will be responsible for tasks under the general supervision of a registered nurse including assisting in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care on a rotational shift basis.
