They will need:- To understand fully clinical haematological conditions; sickle cell, thalassaemia,myelodysplasia, haemophilia, clotting disorders, ITP, polycythaemia, haemochromatosis, iron deficiency anaemia and others. - To administer infusions, transfusions, venesections and automated red cell exchange transfusions.- To participate and maintain the effective communication of information between team members, patients and offer support and advise. The successful candidate will also play a critical role in mentoring junior staff, being a role model and participating in continuous improvements in the Haematology Day Unit.This full-time, permanent position is ideal for a nurse with a strong background and experience in acute setting. You will have the opportunity to further develop your expertise and competencies, with hands on trainings, supervision, and opportunities to attend relevant study sessions.
