To undertake initial team assessments of referred clients and report to the referral agents after discussion/supervision from the appropriate Team Meeting. To also undertake joint assessments with colleagues from other disciplines and agencies as and when appropriate. To formulate and implement treatment programmes and report to the referring agent on the client's progress. To complete an accurate assessment of risk with all new clients and provide the initial management plan. All risk management plans will be reviewed and updated as appropriate. To have an appropriate understanding of legislation relating to work in the psychiatric setting, and in particular the Mental Health Act 1983, and all other relevant legislation. To combine with other members of the team, either in conjoint therapy or case work as appropriate. To liaise with ward staff/crisis team and provide care co-ordination to clients in hospital. To abide by relevant Professional Code of Conduct.
