The post holder will be an autonomous practitioner providing a specialist physiotherapy service to inpatient neurorehab patients. They will be expected to manage and supervise rehabilitation assistants as part of this role. This includes both inpatient neurorehabilitation and long-term disability management. The candidate will have proven experience of assessing and treating neurological patients with complex physical movement patterns, postural management, respiratory and tracheostomy needs. The post holder will provide pre-admission assessment to those with complex presentations and work in conjunction with the Clinical Head of Rehab Service and care home manager to determine suitability for rehabilitation or placement within our service. They will contribute to the therapy teams functions such as rota planning, service development and in-service training.
