As a HCA on the evening team you will be allocated via our electronic system onto a handheld tablet, patients to visit in their own homes, primarily across the South of the county. These would normally be within a geographic area, but some flexibility is expected to cover patients countywide. The role of the HCA is varied, in supporting patients in their own home with personal care, mobility, and simple wound care and catheter care. All appropriate training will be provided as part of the induction process. You will work independently but also as part of a team, with some visits requiring 2 members of staff. You will be supported during the shift by a senior nurse on triage. About us You will be joining the Evening and Night team element of one of our dynamic and supportive Neighbourhood Teams to provide a 24-hour admission avoidance service to the population of Worcestershire which encompasses both urban and rural areas. The Service is based at Droitwich, with further satellite bases across the County and flexibility to start from home. The successful candidate will support nursing staff and deliver independently a high standard of nursing care for patients in their own homes. Ensuring that care provided maintains the individuals privacy and dignity, values diversity and respects cultural and individual rights and choices. We are looking for candidates with good communication skills, a flexible approach and enthusiasm to work within the team. You should be a committed, highly motivated and forward-thinking individual who is a good team player. The successful candidate will also assist the team to develop and achieve team and organizational objectives.
