This will include protected time for training in the implantation and follow-up of simple and complex cardiac devices (ICD, CRT and conduction system pacing). The Complex Cardiac Devices Service commenced 12 years ago and has grown significantly in that time into an established service with a dedicated \"Devices Team\" comprising doctors, cardiac physiologists and specialist arrhythmia nurses. The post holder will be integral to delivering and supporting the ongoing expansion and development of the devices and arrhythmia services working as part of a multidisciplinary team in a busy department. Of the four Devices Fellow post-holders since inception of the service, two have gone on to acquire a Consultant Post and both the others have been successful in acquiring a SpR NTN in Cardiology. The Cardiology department provides on-site cardiac catheterisation, elective and emergency PCI, and we have established a growing complex cardiac devices service providing implantation and follow-up of simple and complex cardiac devices (PPM, ICD, and CRT)Croydon is situated to the south of London and has easy access to both central London and the south coast. It also offers a huge range of social, leisure and shopping options, with transport links to both Gatwick and Heathrow Airport.
