As a Learning Disability Nurse your responsibilities will vary. You will develop specialist clinical skills in working with an offender population with a diversity of presenting problems, including psychosis and personality disorder, that feature alongside their learning disability and/or autism spectrum disorder. be responsible for making a clinical judgment with regard to their immediate needs and long term treatment. administer medication as prescribed by the doctor within the guidelines for medicines administration.
