We are looking to recruit a motivated dietitian who has varied post graduate clinical experience and a strong interest in paediatric dietetics. Applicants with less practice in this field who are highly motivated will also be considered. Teamwork and excellent communication skills are essential for this role. The post holder will work alongside the paediatric team across the Trust. The clinical remit of this post has a varied and interesting caseload including gastroenterology, oncology, the paediatric ward and day unit, outpatient clinics and cow's milk protein allergy. To provide a highly specialised nutrition and dietetic service to the child health business unit, working at Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital and in the local community to ensure high standards of care in line with evidence based practice and national guidelines. To contribute towards service developments through audit and patient surveys, driving changes that improve patient care. To manage and prioritise a delegated caseload, including Gastroenterology, Oncology, Nutrition support and a cow's milk allergy group session. To advise medical and nursing staff on the appropriate use of prescribable specialist food products and formulas. To maintain continued professional development and be involved in relevant dietetic special interest groups. To participate in the training of student dietitians & apprentices. About us This post has a wide variety within it. As well as covering the childrens ward in Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital, the post holder will have a weekly gastroenterology clinic, or attending the MDT Gastro clinic; they will also be a part of the oncology MDT attending regular meetings and providing support for patients as required. The post holder will run a cow's milk allergy group.
