You will be based at Darent Valley Hospital. Rotations will include intensive care, stroke, acute medicine/respiratory and orthopaedics, MSK outpatients, 7 day working in an Integrated Discharge team and a rehabilitation role at an off-site unit. A professional attitude is essential along with the skills to work in a busy acute setting. The post is for a qualified Physiotherapist. Essential experience required: BSc or equivalent in Physiotherapy HCPC registration or shortly pending for new graduates Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy Evidence of clinical placements in core areas. Informal visits will be available to shortlisted candidates only. For further information and an informal discussion about the post please contact Stuart Waterman (stuartwaterman@nhs.net) Working days and or shift patterns will be agreed by the line manager to meet the needs of the service. To participate in the four-monthly rotation which involves working across the Trust in a range of ward and department settings. To provide a high standard of physiotherapy service in each speciality including services in orthopaedics, neurology, medicine, including care of the elderly, surgery and ITU, out-patients and hydrotherapy and respiratory care, integrated discharge team and Acute Frailty Unit To take part in the teaching programme of each unit and the service to further own level of knowledge and clinical skills. To be an effective team member within each speciality and support the relevant senior/superintendent physiotherapist. To promote the role of physiotherapy within the inter-professional team, and ensure that good communication exists with the medical, nursing and other professional staff.
