As these are new roles in the Trust and Division, you will be pivotal in development of this post. The post holder will demonstrate a high level of expertise within the specialist service providing advice, education and support to staff, patients, their families, and carers. At launch, it is expected that this will be a Monday to Friday role with shift times, 10.00-18.00 or 12.00-20.00hours; to support the known peak demand times of the on-call service. You will lead the take in SDEC, directing the juniors whilst reporting to the on call registrar and Consultant, day to day. Provide guidance to staff, patients and their families and carers on pathway navigation Lead in the development and updating of referral guidelines and policies for the service. Use highly developed communication skills to effectively communicate with colleagues, patients and their relatives/carers, making reports and liaising as required with medical staff and other members of the multidisciplinary team both verbally and in writing.
