The successful candidate is expected to provide an efficient reception service to patients and assist in providing a comprehensive administrative service To provide an efficient initial, advice and guidance service for patients of the practice making enquiries around the services provided. To receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way. To provide general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone Duties will include being the focal first point within the practice for patients and visitors; project a positive and friendly image at all times, either in person or via the telephone. The successful candidate should have previous experience working in an administrative / reception environment with excellent IT skills (esp. around SystmOne), the ability to work with people at all levels, together with good organisational and communication skills, both verbal and written. You should have the ability to use your own initiative but also be team orientated and have a flexible approach to work. You will need to have good time management skills, the ability to organise and prioritise work along with an understanding of, and commitment to, patient confidentiality. A willingness to learn and develop skills will be positively encouraged. You will be part of an enthusiastic team, who will play an instrumental part in the smooth running of the practice.
