What to expect

7. What cleaning methods and products have you used in the past, particularly in a healthcare environment?
8. How do you ensure that you adhere to strict hygiene standards while performing your duties?
9. Describe a time when you worked successfully as part of a team. What was your role, and how did you contribute to the team's goals?
10. How would you handle a situation where a team member was not following protocols that could compromise patient safety?
11. The role requires physical activity such as lifting and moving equipment. How do you maintain your physical fitness for such tasks?
12. Working in a Maternity Ward can be emotionally demanding. How do you handle stressful situations, especially when dealing with patients and their families?
13. Can you share an example of when you identified a problem during your work? What steps did you take to resolve it?
14. How do you report maintenance faults or issues encountered during your cleaning duties?
15. What strategies do you use to ensure that cleaning equipment and consumables are maintained and replenished effectively?
16. How would you ensure that waste is collected and stored in accordance with local procedures and the Trust’s Waste policy?
17. How do you maintain patient confidentiality and dignity in your daily tasks? Can you provide an example?
18. What do you think the most critical aspect of infection control is in a hospital environment?
19. Why do you think teamwork is crucial in a healthcare setting, particularly in a maternity ward?
