In absence of the Shop Manager act as the main key holder for the shop in the event of an emergency call out, and be conversant with emergency procedures, to ensure that any emergency issues are dealt with effectively. In absence of the Shop Manager take full responsibility for the shop security, including premises, stock, money and staff. Organise and plan own workload and timetable, in consultation with the Shop Manager. In the absence of the Shop Manager, communicate with Cluster Manager for the supply of donated and new goods stock, ensuring that adequate stock levels exist in the shop at all times. This includes monitoring and maintaining all aspects of Health and Safety in compliance with Health and Safety at Work Act 1979, day to day running of the shop and undertaking any risk assessments as appropriate. In absence of Shop Manager ensure that the premises are adequately maintained and secured, and to report any defects to the Facilities Manager as soon as possible. Liaise with suppliers and contractors as necessary and required.
