The role is offering an in-reach service into The Croft, a 2-bedded therapeutic childrens residential home. Our primary aim is to provide a safe, trauma-informed and therapeutic environment from which young people in our care can develop both physically and psychologically; can work on their relationship skills, which is key in making progress in their psychological development; can start to recover from developmental traumas and be provided with the opportunity to enjoy a level of settlement that might otherwise have been denied to them. You will be offering risk assessment and care planning to support young people who reside in The Croft, this will also support the staff members who are based there. You will also be responsible for conducting assessments to deem appropriateness of The Croft being a suitable residential home. You would be part of the Enhanced Outreach Team (EOT) which is a team that primarily work with Looked After Children. The Croft is based in the Ackworth area of Wakefield and the role requires regular travel to this area.
