We are looking for a Locum Clinical Oncologist (for 6 to 12 months, with a view to extend), with interest in CRC, Gynae, Lung, Skin and HPB tumour sites, however there could be some flexibility and we would be more than happy to discuss this. The posts are based at the Royal Derby Hospital with work at Queens Hospital Burton which provide Cancer Services for the population of Southern Derbyshire and South East Staffordshire. The Cancer Business Unit is proud to offer high quality clinical care within flexible and sustainable job plan structures. We positively encourage part time working and are happy to recruit less than full time candidates to complement our existing medical team. If your preference is for less than full time hours, we have a number of potential job plans including a one tumour site 6 PA post working either 4 days per week or 5 days per week. We are happy to discuss other options if these are of interest. The appointee will be responsible for: Provision of a comprehensive service in Oncology with consultantcolleagues, including new patient and follow-up clinics at Derby andBurton. The Department also undertakes a variety of joint clinics with other specialties. Provision of emergency cover and reciprocal cover for your consultant colleagues during reasonable periods of leave, on a shared basis. This will include care of patients and supervision of junior doctors.
