Excellent supervision and mentoring skills are essential for this role. Provide specialist assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for acutely ill adult patients on the acute medical wards. Operationally manage and coordinate therapy services for a wide range of medical inpatients that require rehabilitation, and signpost to other inpatient, outpatient and community based services To regularly attend hospital whiteboards and MDMs and provide guidance and support on therapy intervention and hospital flow. Manage and provide clinical supervision to rotating Band 6, Band 5 and under-graduate physiotherapy students on clinical placement Provide specialist knowledge and teaching to teams, department therapists and to medical and nursing staff. Work with the other band 7s within the team, and the 8a Therapies Lead for Acute Medical & ITU in day-to-day clinical and operational management of the Acute Medical Team To manage our overflow ward in time of a surge in collaboration with the other team leads.
